WHO WE ARE
In 1990 the Quehanna Industrial Development Corporation was formed by Raymond "Sap" Savel.

We are working hard to bring back the coal industry to its previous glory. We are working with local, state, and federal departments to bridge the gap between all the red tape that is making it hard for the coal industry to do their jobs.

We are also working hard on bringing people to this area by holding three different events each year. We hold an Elk Antler Shed Hunt, a Canoe/Kayak/Paddleboard River Run, and the QIDC 100 Mile Yard Sale. Each event brings anywhere from 50 to 8,000 people to this area. Some of the people who have purchased property, homes, or camps in this area did so because they came to one of our events and fell in love with this area and it's small town charm.
